CLAUDIA DE LA HOZ
Claudia de la Hoz’s work offers a subtle chromatic balance and orchestrates an elegant dialogue between art and decoration. Beginning her academic path with art history at the Sorbonne,
Claudia de la Hoz later immersed herself in interior architecture, shaping the course of her professional journey.
She was born in Colombia at the caribean coast, in 1979.
Color has infused each of her projects, weaving its palette through sketches without ever imposing itself forcefully. It was in the quiet of lockdown that painting emerged as a revelation—an expressive outlet during a time of upheaval.
Thus were born “Les Jardins Secrets”, a prolific series in which Claudia was able to crystallize and share her inner whirlwinds, as well as her research on the human brain and neuroscience as a way to reclaim her emotions and heal from depression. An ode to color, nature, and emotion: blending acrylic, oil pastel, India ink, watercolors, and oil paint, Claudia de la Hoz conveys her colored emotions with a fluid and engaging technique.
Pink, in all its shades, becomes her emotional mediator—a vector to transmit and transcend deep feelings. Nature lies at the heart of her inspiration, a nod to her Colombian roots. Under her brush, trees transform into dreamlike silhouettes, like ephemeral cotton candies.
